Question: (Last edited: Wednesday, 18 November 2009, 11:51 PM)Assessments | |||
|---|---|---|---|
| Answer: One of the more powerful features of Moodle is the capability to provide assessment procedures. You are able to upload assessment documents to Moodle and then allow students to download documents, complete them and re-submit them back to Moodle where you are able to view, comment on and grade them. Also, other types of assessment are available: multiple choice, essay type, short answer, true/false and so on. All assessment procedures are recorded in the Moodle gradebook, which can be easily viewed as well as imported to other formats like Microsoft Office Excel. | |||

Question: (Last edited: Wednesday, 18 November 2009, 03:01 PM)Metacourses | |||
|---|---|---|---|
| Answer: A metacourse is a course that is set up and which other courses are attached to. When other courses are attached to the metacourse, students only have to enrol on the metacourse to be automatically enroled on to the courses that are attached to the metacourse. Example: A course is set up called 'notice board', this course is given an enrolment key. Another three courses are set up and attached (pointed) to the metacourse, students only have to enrol on the 'notice board' course and they are automatically enroled on the other three courses, i.e they only have to enter a key for one course instead of all three/four. | |||
